AXIS P3827-PVE 7MP 180° Multidirectional Panoramic Dome Camera (02450-001)

Description

NDAA Compliant • 180° Multidirectional Panoramic Dome

AXIS P3827-PVE 7 MP Multisensor Panoramic Camera — Australian Stock & 5-Year Warranty

The AXIS P3827-PVE Panoramic Camera combines four 1/2.8" progressive scan RGB CMOS sensors into a single 7 MP, seamlessly stitched image at 3712x1856 up to 30 fps — delivering 180° horizontal and 90° vertical coverage with no blind spots from one IP address and one PoE+ cable. Horizon straightening compensates for physical camera tilt so vertical lines stay vertical and the view feels natural to operators. Built on ARTPEC-8 with a deep learning processing unit (DLPU), it runs AXIS Object Analytics on the edge, and its IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10-rated aluminium casing operates from -40 °C to +55 °C. Backed by a 5-year Axis warranty.

Four Cameras in One, Stitched Into a Single Stream

Rather than delivering four separate feeds that operators have to mentally join together, the P3827-PVE stitches all four sensors into one coherent 180° video stream with no seam through the centre. White balance and exposure are optimised automatically across the sensors so brightness and colour stay consistent edge to edge. That means one IP address, one licence in most VMS platforms, one PoE+ port and one mounting point covering a car park, forecourt, perimeter fence line, platform or building frontage. Mount two back-to-back on the AXIS T94V01C Dual Camera Mount for a complete 360° overview.

Deep Learning on the Edge

ARTPEC-8 with a dedicated DLPU runs AXIS Object Analytics and AXIS Scene Metadata on the camera, classifying humans and vehicle types and producing rich metadata for fast forensic search across live and recorded video.

Horizon Straightening

Compensates for any physical tilt of the camera so the horizon sits straight even when it is not centred in frame, and objects that are vertical in real life stay vertical in the image — a far more natural viewing experience.

Forensic WDR + Lightfinder

Forensic WDR up to 120 dB handles scenes with harsh contrast, while Lightfinder holds colour detail down to 0.15 lux and drops to black and white at 0.05 lux. Signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 55 dB.

Built for Harsh Australian Sites

IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10-rated aluminium casing with a hard-coated polycarbonate dome, tested to MIL-STD-810H and rated -40 °C to +55 °C with a -40 °C start-up temperature.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sensors does the P3827-PVE have?

Four. It uses 4 x 1/2.8" progressive scan RGB CMOS sensors, each with a fixed 3.3 mm F2.0 lens, stitched into one 7 MP panoramic image at 3712x1856.

Do I get four separate video streams to manage?

No. All four images are seamlessly stitched into a single cohesive video stream on one IP address, with no visible stitch through the centre. White balance and exposure are optimised automatically so the panorama looks consistent edge to edge.

What area does 180° x 90° actually cover?

It gives a complete half-circle overview with no blind spots — ideal for car parks, forecourts, building frontages, platforms and perimeter lines. Two cameras mounted back-to-back on the AXIS T94V01C Dual Camera Mount give a full 360° view.

Does it have infrared illumination?

No. There is no built-in IR. It uses an automatic IR-cut filter plus a hybrid IR filter with Axis Lightfinder, retaining colour to 0.15 lux and switching to black and white at 0.05 lux. For very dark sites, pair it with an Axis T90D series illuminator.

What PoE do I need?

PoE+ — IEEE 802.3at Type 2 Class 4. Typical draw is 12 W with a maximum of 18 W, so budget accordingly on your switch or midspan. Standard 802.3af PoE is not sufficient.

Is it rated for outdoor Australian conditions?

Yes. The aluminium casing is IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10 rated with a hard-coated polycarbonate dome, tested to MIL-STD-810H, and operates from -40 °C to +55 °C with 10–100% condensing humidity tolerance.

What is horizon straightening?

It is a software feature that compensates for physical tilt of the camera, removing distortion so the horizon appears straight even when it is not in the middle of the image, and vertical real-world lines stay vertical on screen.

Which analytics come preinstalled?

AXIS Object Analytics, AXIS Scene Metadata, AXIS Video Motion Detection, active tampering alarm and audio detection. Object Analytics classifies humans and vehicle types across up to 10 simultaneous scenarios including line crossing, occupancy and crossline counting.

Will it integrate with my VMS?

Yes. It supports ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T, and works with AXIS Camera Station Edge, AXIS Camera Station Pro, AXIS Camera Station 5 and third-party video management software from Axis partners. It also has a microSD slot and NAS recording for edge storage.
