The AXIS M5074 gives you 256 preset positions, a control queue and continuous pan/tilt/zoom in a Ø130 x 63 mm white dome that disappears into a ceiling. A varifocal 2.2–11.0 mm F1.4–F2.5 lens gives a 71° wide overview that zooms to a 14° detail view, backed by 12x digital zoom. Autofocus, focus recall zones and an on-screen directional indicator make operation quick and accurate.

Hardened and Easy to Deploy

What resolution does the AXIS M5074 record?HDTV 720p (1280x720, 1 MP) in 16:9, down to 320x180, at up to 50/60 fps in all resolutions using H.264, H.265 or Motion JPEG.
How far can it pan, tilt and zoom?Pan ±179° and tilt 90°, both at 100°/s, with 5x optical and 12x digital zoom. The lens covers 71° horizontal at wide and 14° at full telephoto, with 256 preset positions.
Can the M5074 be used outdoors?No. It is an indoor camera with an IP51-rated plastic casing and an operating range of 0 °C to 45 °C. Use an outdoor-rated Axis camera for exposed positions.
Does it have infrared night vision?No, the M5074 has no built-in IR illumination. It needs 0.1 lux of ambient light for colour imaging, which suits typical lit indoor spaces such as shops, offices and lobbies.
Does it record audio?Yes. It has a built-in microphone with one-way audio streaming and supports AAC-LC, G.711, G.726, Opus and 24-bit LPCM encoding. Audio detection and AXIS Scream Detection are included.
What analytics come included?AXIS Video Motion Detection, audio detection, active tampering alarm, gatekeeper, AXIS Scream Detection and AXIS Removed Object Detection — all at no extra cost. ACAP support allows third-party analytics too.
How is the camera powered?A single PoE cable. It draws IEEE 802.3af/802.3at Type 1 Class 3 power, typically 4.2 W and a maximum of 9.3 W, so almost any PoE switch or injector will run it.
Does it support local recording?Yes. There is a microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC slot with AES-XTS-Plain64 256-bit card encryption, plus recording to network-attached storage.
Will it work with my existing NVR or VMS?Yes. The M5074 supports ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T plus the VAPIX API, so it integrates with AXIS Camera Station Edge, Pro and 5 as well as ONVIF-compliant third-party platforms.
