A single ceiling-mounted M4328-P replaces several fixed cameras in retail floors, offices, classrooms, foyers and waiting areas. The 12 MP stereographic lens captures the entire space, then dewarps into the view you actually need — 360° overview, single or double panorama, quad view, corner or corridor formats. Digital PTZ lets operators zoom into any part of the recorded scene after the event, so nothing is missed. Digital roll of ±180° means the image can be levelled in software rather than by physically rotating the camera during install.

Is the AXIS M4328-P suitable for outdoor use?No. The M4328-P is an indoor camera with an operating range of 0 °C to 40 °C and no IP or IK rating as standard. For semi-protected areas Axis offers the optional AXIS TM3820 Vandal Casing, rated IK08 and IP42 with the cover hatch fitted.
What resolution does it actually record?The sensor is 12 MP. The 360° overview streams at up to 2992x2992, panorama up to 3840x2160, and double panorama or quad view up to 3584x2688. Individual dewarped view areas run up to 2048x1536.
Does it have infrared night vision?No — there is no built-in IR illumination. It uses an automatic IR-cut filter with Axis Lightfinder for colour imaging down to 0.19 lux, and switches to black and white at 0.04 lux. It needs some ambient light, which is normally available in the indoor spaces it is designed for.
How much power does it need?It runs on Power over Ethernet IEEE 802.3af/802.3at Type 1 Class 3, drawing typically 3.5 W and a maximum of 5.1 W. Any standard PoE switch or midspan will run it comfortably.
How many views can I stream at the same time?The camera streams the 360° overview plus up to four individually configurable dewarped view areas simultaneously, each with digital PTZ, preset positions and guard tours.
What analytics are included at no extra cost?AXIS Object Analytics, AXIS Image Health Analytics, AXIS Scene Metadata, AXIS Video Motion Detection and an active tampering alarm are all preinstalled. Object Analytics classifies humans and vehicle types across up to 10 simultaneous scenarios.
Will it work with my existing VMS?Yes. It supports ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T, and works with AXIS Camera Station Edge, AXIS Camera Station Pro, AXIS Camera Station 5 and third-party video management software from Axis partners.
Does it support audio?Audio and I/O connectivity is delivered through Axis portcast technology, which supports two-way audio connectivity and a voice enhancer, plus network speaker pairing. There is no analogue audio jack on the camera body itself.
Can I record locally without an NVR?Yes. The camera has a microSD / microSDHC / microSDXC card slot with AES-XTS-Plain64 256-bit card encryption, and can also record directly to network-attached storage (NAS).
