ColorVu 3.0 — True 24/7 Colour
A 1/1.8" sensor and F1.0 super-aperture deliver full-colour images down to 0.0005 lux. Smart Hybrid Light adds white light or IR (up to 30 m) so you capture clothing and number-plate colour all night, not grey IR.
Live-Guard Active Deterrence
On AcuSense human/vehicle detection each camera flashes a white strobe, sounds a 110 dB warning and lets you talk down live via Hik-Connect — turning intruders away before they reach the door.
8-Port PoE — Plug & Play
One Cat6 cable per camera carries power and video to the NVR's 8 built-in PoE ports — no separate power supplies, no extra switch, commissioning in minutes.
6MP or 8MP — Your Choice
Pick 6MP (3200 × 1800) for excellent detail and lower storage use, or 8MP 4K (3840 × 2160) for maximum clarity on faces, plates and large coverage areas. Same Live-Guard deterrence either way.
Use these official Hikvision tutorials to complete the recorder startup wizard and connect the supplied PoE cameras. Menu names may vary slightly with firmware version.
Should I choose the 6MP or 8MP kit?
Both use the same ColorVu 3.0 Live-Guard turret with strobe, siren and two-way audio. Choose 6MP (3200 × 1800) for excellent detail and lower storage use; choose 8MP 4K (3840 × 2160) for maximum clarity on faces, plates and larger coverage areas.
What is Live-Guard active deterrence?
On AcuSense human/vehicle detection each camera flashes a white-light strobe, sounds a 110 dB warning and lets you open live two-way audio via Hik-Connect — actively turning intruders away.
Do these really see colour at night?
Yes — ColorVu 3.0 with an F1.0 super-aperture delivers full-colour images down to 0.0005 lux, with Smart Hybrid Light adding white light or IR as needed.
Is a hard drive included?
No — this kit ships without an HDD so you can size storage to your needs. Add a surveillance-grade drive (4TB suits most 4-camera installs, 6TB+ for 8MP or continuous recording); the NVR has two SATA bays for up to 32 TB total.
How are the cameras powered, and can I add more?
Each camera runs on a single Cat6 cable to one of the NVR's 8 built-in PoE ports — no separate power supplies. The 8-channel NVR lets you add up to four more compatible Hikvision IP cameras later.
