Readable plates, day or night
A large 1/1.8″ sensor and warm-light illumination keep number plates sharp and legible even under headlight glare, in shadow or after dark — the detail ANPR depends on.
Match the lens to the lane
Choose Z28 for short driveways and boom gates, Z80 for mid-range car parks, or Z100 for long-distance tollways and lane monitoring — motorised zoom dials in the exact capture zone remotely.
ANPR-ready integration
Pairs with Uniview UNV ANPR/AI NVRs and ONVIF recorders for automatic plate detection, logging and search — turning raw footage into a searchable vehicle record.
One-cable, weatherproof install
PoE (IEEE 802.3af) carries power and data over a single Cat6 run, and the IP67 housing handles Australian sun, dust and downpours from −30 °C to 60 °C.
Is this a true licence-plate (ANPR) camera?Yes — the PKC2641 is purpose-built for LPR. Its large 1/1.8″ sensor, motorised zoom and warm light are tuned to capture clean, readable plates. Pair it with a Uniview UNV ANPR/AI NVR for automatic plate detection, logging and search.
Which lens option should I choose — Z28, Z80 or Z100?Z28 (2.8–8 mm) suits short-range driveways and boom gates, Z80 (8–80 mm) suits mid-range car parks, and Z100 (10–100 mm) suits long-distance tollways and lanes. All three are motorised for remote zoom and focus.
Does it capture plates in colour at night? The warm-light illuminator helps keep plates legible and the scene in colour at night, while Smart IR assists in very low light. For reliable plate reading, position the camera so headlights and reflections don't wash out the plate.
Is the PKC2641-Z28-IR-P NDAA compliant?Yes. Uniview UNV cameras are NDAA / Section 889 compliant, making this model suitable for government, commercial and security-sensitive sites across Australia.
How is it powered?Single-cable PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over Cat6 to a PoE NVR or switch, with a 12V DC option also supported.
Which NVRs work with it?It works plug-and-play with Uniview UNV NVRs — ANPR/AI models add automatic plate recognition — and is ONVIF-compatible with most third-party recorders for video.
Where is it best installed for plate capture?Mount it square to the lane at a low-to-moderate angle so plates face the camera, with the zoom set so a plate fills enough of the frame. It excels at car-park entries/exits, gated communities, tollways and drive-throughs.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?Yes — the IP67-rated housing and −30 °C to 60 °C operating range are built for permanent outdoor installation in Australian conditions.
What warranty applies? This camera ships with a 3-year Australian warranty and local CCTV Guru tech support.
