Multi-Gigabit 2.5 GbE Ports
Sixteen 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports give WiFi 7 access points, NAS devices, and high-speed clients the headroom they need, while 32 standard GbE ports cover the rest of your network.
112 Gbps Non-Blocking Throughput
With 224 Gbps switching capacity, 112 Gbps non-blocking throughput, and a 167 Mpps forwarding rate, the Pro Max 48 handles demanding, high-density networks without bottlenecks.
Layer 3 Routing Built In
On-switch inter-VLAN routing, static routing, DHCP server, and DHCP relay keep traffic local and fast, reducing load on your gateway across multiple networks.
4 x 10G SFP+ Uplinks
Four 10G SFP+ ports provide high-bandwidth fibre or DAC uplinks to your core, aggregation layer, or other UniFi switches for a future-proof backbone.
Etherlighting™ & Touchscreen
Etherlighting™ ports illuminate to show location, speed/link, and native VLAN, while a 1.3″ touchscreen displays live status at a glance — pair with UniFi Etherlighting Patch Cables for optimal brightness.
DC Power Backup Ready
A dedicated USP RPS DC input lets you add redundant power for critical infrastructure, keeping the switch online through mains interruptions.
Pro AV & Advanced L2
Built-in Pro AV profiles (Dante, Q-SYS, NDI, SDVoE, AES67, Crestron), LACP aggregation, QoS, 802.1X, jumbo frames, and advanced IGMP make it ideal for AV-over-IP and enterprise deployments.
NDAA Compliant
Fully NDAA Section 889 compliant for government, defence, and security-sensitive sites where supply-chain integrity is required.
Is the USW-Pro-Max-48 a PoE switch?
No. The Pro Max 48 is a non-PoE Layer 3 switch. If you need to power PoE devices, use UniFi PoE switches or PoE injectors alongside it.
Does it support Layer 3 routing?
Yes. It offers inter-VLAN routing, static routing, a local DHCP server, and DHCP relay across networks managed on the switch.
How many multi-gigabit ports does it have?
It includes 16 x 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports, 32 x GbE RJ45 ports, and 4 x 10G SFP+ uplink ports.
What controller version do I need?
UniFi Network version 8.0.24 or later is required to manage the Pro Max 48.
Can I add power redundancy?
Yes. The switch is DC power backup ready via a USP RPS DC input for resilient, always-on infrastructure.
Is the Pro Max 48 NDAA compliant?
Yes. Ubiquiti is a US-based manufacturer and the USW-Pro-Max-48 is NDAA Section 889 compliant.
