6MP records at 3072 × 2048 for sharp everyday coverage; 8MP is true 4K at 3840 × 2160 with a larger 1/1.8" sensor and extra zoom headroom for faces and number plates. Choose your resolution from the variant selector.
How does AcuSense reduce false alarms?
Deep-learning AI classifies motion as human, vehicle or other, so leaves, animals and shadows don't trigger alerts — only real events reach your phone.
Does the kit come with a hard drive?
No — it's supplied as a base hardware bundle so you can size storage to your needs. The NVR's two SATA bays take up to 32 TB total; add a surveillance HDD and we can pre-install it before shipping.
How are the cameras powered?
Each camera runs on a single Cat6 cable to one of the NVR's 16 built-in PoE ports — no separate power supplies. Cat6 cabling is run on site and not included.
Why a 16-channel NVR for 10 cameras?The
DS-7616NI-M2/16P gives you six spare channels and PoE ports, so you can expand the system later without replacing the recorder. It also supports AcuSense, ColorVu and other Hikvision IP cameras.
