Dahua TiOC 2.0 · Full-Colour · 5MP Active Deterrence Bullet
Dahua DH-IPC-HFW3549T1P-AS-PV-S3 — 5MP TiOC 2.0 Full-Colour Active Deterrence Bullet
The Dahua DH-IPC-HFW3549T1P-AS-PV-S3 is a 5MP full-colour active deterrence bullet from Dahua's WizSense 3 Series TiOC 2.0 line-up. Built around a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor and an F1.0 large-aperture lens, it produces colour image at very low light (down to 0.003 lux), with two on-board warm-light LEDs reaching 40 m for clear full-colour video around the clock — no monochrome IR fallback. Paired with the active deterrence chain — red/blue strobe lights, on-board siren, 11 built-in voice alarms plus custom voice import — it's a complete watch-and-warn camera in one weatherproof unit.
Powered by Dahua's WizSense AI with SMD Plus human/vehicle classification and IVS perimeter protection (tripwire + intrusion), the 3549T1P fires its deterrence chain only when a genuine human or vehicle is detected — no false alarms from animals or weather. Two-way audio via the built-in mic and speaker, MicroSD edge recording, IP67 weatherproofing and a wide −40 °C to +60 °C operating range round it out. Available in White (DH-IPC-HFW3549T1P-AS-PV-S3) and Black. Australian stock, 3-year Australian warranty.

Why Choose the 5MP Full-Colour Active Deterrence Bullet
This is the camera Australian installers reach for when the customer wants colour evidence around the clock — not monochrome IR — combined with the visible deterrence of red/blue strobe and audible warnings. The F1.0 large-aperture lens and 40 m warm-light LED illuminator together deliver true full-colour image even at very low ambient light, while the TiOC 2.0 active deterrence chain proactively warns intruders the moment AI confirms a person or vehicle inside the rule zone.
Full-Colour 24/7 — No Monochrome IR Fallback
Two warm-light LEDs reaching 40 m combine with a 1/2.7" Starlight CMOS sensor and an F1.0 large aperture to deliver clear colour image even at 0.003 lux. You see clothing colour, vehicle paint and hair colour at night — not just a grey IR silhouette.
F1.0 Large Aperture
The F1.0 aperture gathers significantly more light than a typical F1.6 lens — the single biggest factor behind the camera's true full-colour low-light performance.
Active Deterrence — Strobe + Siren + Voice
When SMD Plus confirms a human or vehicle, the camera flashes its red/blue strobe lights and sounds an alarm from the built-in speaker — choose from 11 pre-loaded voice alarms or upload custom audio for a site-specific message.
SMD Plus + IVS Perimeter Protection
WizSense AI classifies humans and vehicles on-camera and filters out animals, foliage and weather. IVS adds virtual tripwires and intrusion zones — only genuine threats trigger the deterrence chain.
120 dB True WDR
Real Wide Dynamic Range balances harsh contrast — sunset doorways, undercover carparks, mixed indoor/outdoor lighting. Highlights stay readable, shadows stay detailed.
Built Tough for Australia
IP67 ingress protection, metal-and-reinforced-plastic chassis, ±30% wide-voltage tolerance and a −40 °C to +60 °C operating range shrug off coastal salt, outback heat, Tasmanian frost and unstable rural mains.
Smart Features for Real-World Australian Sites
Two-Way Audio & Custom Voice
Built-in microphone and speaker support live two-way audio via DMSS or a Dahua NVR. The 11 pre-loaded voice messages plus uploadable custom audio let you record a site-specific warning in your own voice.
IVS Tripwire & Intrusion Zones
Define a virtual line across the driveway or a no-go zone around the shed — get a notification (and trigger the deterrence chain) only when a human or vehicle actually crosses it.
One-Tap Disarming
A single tap in the DMSS app disarms the deterrence chain — useful for parties, deliveries and after-hours visitors. Rearm with one button.
Smart H.265+ Compression
Dahua's Smart H.265+ scene-adaptive encoding reduces bandwidth and storage demand significantly versus standard H.264 — longer retention on the same NVR drive.
Triple Streaming · Full HD Sub-Stream
Three streams simultaneously — Main 5MP @ 20 fps (or 4MP @ 25/30 fps), Sub 704 × 576 and a Full HD 1920 × 1080 third stream — give flexibility for live view, mobile streaming and NVR recording.
External Audio & Alarm I/O
1 audio in / 1 audio out (RCA) plus 1 alarm in / 1 alarm out for connecting external mic, speaker, PIR or door contacts — extend the camera's role beyond stand-alone.
Pair with a Dahua WizSense AI NVR
The 3549T1P-AS-PV is a WizSense 3 Series TiOC 2.0 camera. SMD Plus, IVS rules, the active deterrence chain and human/vehicle classification all run on-camera and work with any Dahua AI NVR. This camera does not support AcuPick attribute search — that's reserved for the newer TiOC 3.0 line — but pairing with a Dahua AI NVR still unlocks smart event search and human/vehicle filtering across recorded footage.

3549T1P (TiOC 2.0) vs 3849T1 (TiOC 3.0) — Which TiOC Bullet Should You Choose?
Both cameras are full-active-deterrence bullets in the same chassis with the same red/blue strobe, siren and voice-alarm chain. The deciding question is generation: do you need the latest AI engine and 4K resolution, or are 5MP, SMD Plus and full-colour night vision enough? The 3549T1P (TiOC 2.0) is the more affordable choice with full-colour warm-light illumination and proven WizSense AI. The 3849T1 (TiOC 3.0) adds 4K resolution, SMD 4.0, AcuPick AI compatibility, AI Coding, Smart Dual-Light (IR + warm) and a longer Identify range — at a higher price.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does "TiOC 2.0" mean and how is it different from TiOC 3.0?
TiOC = Three-in-One Camera: AI detection + visual deterrence (red/blue strobe) + audible deterrence (siren and voice) in a single unit. TiOC 2.0 uses SMD Plus AI and full-colour warm-light illumination. TiOC 3.0 (newer) upgrades to SMD 4.0, adds Smart Dual-Light (IR + warm), AI Coding and AcuPick compatibility. The 3549T1P is TiOC 2.0 — proven, full-colour, more affordable.
Why pick the 5MP full-colour camera over an IR camera?
Full-colour matters when you need to identify colour attributes at night — clothing, vehicle paint, hair colour, signage. IR cameras give you monochrome silhouettes; this full-colour camera gives you usable colour evidence around the clock. For situations where colour identification is critical (retail, forensic evidence, identifying intruders by their clothing), full-colour wins.
Does the camera have IR LEDs as backup?
No. The 3549T1P-AS-PV is a full-colour camera — its two on-board LEDs are warm-light only. At very low light, the camera relies on the F1.0 large aperture and Starlight sensor; when illumination is needed, the warm-light LED switches on. There's no IR fallback.
Will the warm-light LED disturb neighbours?
The warm-light LED switches on only when SMD Plus detects a real human or vehicle — not on every fox or possum. For residential sites near neighbours, this means the light only fires on genuine events. If you need pure silent IR monitoring, look at the 3866TP-ZAS-AUS IR bullet instead.
Does it support AcuPick AI search?
No. AcuPick is reserved for Dahua's newer TiOC 3.0 / AcuPick line-up. The 3549T1P uses SMD Plus and IVS, which work with any Dahua AI NVR for human/vehicle filtering and smart search.
Will the camera deter intruders automatically?
Yes. The TiOC active deterrence chain fires the instant SMD Plus confirms a human or vehicle inside the rule zone — strobe lights, siren and voice alarm all run on-camera, 24/7, without any operator, NVR command or mobile-app interaction.
What is the difference between the White and Black versions?
Specifications are identical. White and Black variants are available — choose Black for dark eaves, charcoal fascia and modern industrial aesthetics; White for traditional cream/render walls.
Why does it record at 20 fps and not 25/30 fps at full 5MP?
At full 5MP resolution (2592 × 1944), the camera records at 20 fps. If you need 25 or 30 fps, drop the resolution to 4MP (2688 × 1520) and the camera will deliver full motion. For surveillance applications, 20 fps at 5MP is more than sufficient — it's the typical trade-off across Dahua's 5MP line.
Can I speak through the camera?
Yes. The built-in microphone and speaker support two-way audio via the DMSS app or a compatible Dahua NVR — ideal for warning intruders, instructing couriers or speaking to family at the door.
Will it keep recording if the NVR or internet goes down?
Yes. The on-board MicroSD slot accepts cards up to 256 GB and records footage independently of the NVR.
Is the camera suitable for Australian outdoor conditions?
Yes. It is rated IP67 and −40 °C to +60 °C — covering every Australian climate from a Hobart winter to a Karratha summer. The metal-and-reinforced-plastic housing and ±30% wide-voltage tolerance also handle dirty mains power common on rural sites.
Does it work with Hikvision NVRs or third-party VMS?
Basic recording, streaming and motion work over ONVIF Profile S/G/T on most third-party NVRs and VMS platforms (Milestone, Genetec, Hanwha WAVE, ExacqVision, Blue Iris, Synology). However, TiOC deterrence, SMD Plus AI and two-way audio require a Dahua NVR or DMSS to be configured and triggered correctly.
