WizMind 5 · 4 MP · Long Zoom 8–32 mm · 120 m IRDahua WizMind 5 · 4 MP Long-Zoom BulletDahua DH-IPC-HFW5442EP-ZE-0832 — 4 MP Pro AI Long-Zoom Motorised 8–32 mm Starlight+ IR Bullet WizMind 5 Network Camera (120 m IR)
The Dahua DH-IPC-HFW5442EP-ZE-0832 is the WizMind 5 Pro AI 4 MP long-zoom telephoto bullet — the long-zoom variant of the HFW5442EP-ZE platform. Built around a 1/1.8" Starlight+ CMOS capturing 2688 × 1520 at 25/30 fps and 1080p at 50/60 fps. The motorised 8–32 mm vari-focal lens (4× optical telephoto) delivers a 39° field at 8 mm down to a tight 10° pull at 32 mm — ideal for long-range licence-plate capture, perimeter coverage and remote area monitoring. Built-in IR reaches up to 120 m — among the longest IR throws of any IP bullet on the market. WDR is 140 dB; the metal bullet housing is IP67 sealed across −40 °C to +60 °C with IK10 vandal rating. WizMind 5 Pro AI runs face recognition with database, perimeter protection, people counting, heat map, stereo analysis, vehicle metadata and SMD Plus. ePoE supports 800 m PoE runs on Cat6. Built-in 2/1 alarm I/O, 1/1 audio I/O. Built for project-grade Australian long-range deployments — council perimeter CCTV, transport corridors, freight yards, mine sites, airports, large carparks and the long-shot road-frontage in council and government installs. Backed by a 5-year Australian warranty through CCTV Guru. SKU 5442 series.
Why Choose the Dahua HFW5442EP-ZE-0832 Long-Zoom Pro AI Bullet
Long-Zoom 8–32 mm Telephoto
4× motorised vari-focal optimised for long-distance identification — carpark exits, road frontages, perimeter ANPR-style positions where 2.7–12 mm just isn't enough reach.
120 m Extreme Long-Range IR
Built-in IR array reaches up to 120 m — among the longest IR ranges of any IP bullet on the market.
1/1.8" Starlight+ Sensor
Physically larger sensor with roughly twice the light-gathering area of WizSense's 1/2.7". Maintains colour at night even before the telephoto IR engages.
WizMind 5 Full Pro AI
Face recognition with database, perimeter protection, people counting, heat map, stereo analysis, vehicle metadata.
ePoE — 800 m PoE
Extends PoE to 800 m on Cat6 — critical for long-range perimeter installations.
Alpine-Rated IP67/IK10
Metal housing, IP67 sealed, IK10 vandal rated. Rated −40 °C to +60 °C for tropical or alpine Australia.
Important Install Note
The 8–32 mm long-zoom lens is for distant subjects — minimum focus distance is around 8 m. This is not the right camera for shopfronts or close-quarter installs (use the HFW5442EP-ZE-2712 standard 2.7–12 mm sibling instead). Excellent for road frontages, carpark exits, perimeter fence lines and council long-shot positions. The lens is motorised vari-focal — remote-controllable via DMSS.
