Prefer IR-only night vision?
This camera supports IR-only night lighting: select Infrared in Smart Illumination. The night image is black and white; warm-white lighting is optional. Leave Day/Night on Auto for colour in daylight and IR at night.
Smart Dual-Light can turn the warm light on during a detection event. If you want the warm light to stay off, use Infrared and disable any separately configured visible-light alarm linkage. Menu labels can vary by firmware and app.
Full colour, day and night
ColorHunter with Wise-ISP and an F1.0 aperture keep faces, plates and clothing in true colour, while dual-light (IR + warm white) can switch between IR and warm light when Smart Dual-Light mode is selected.
Smart AI events
On-camera perimeter protection — line crossing, intrusion and enter/leave area — with human, vehicle and non-motor classification cuts false alerts from trees, rain and shadows.
Two-way audio
A built-in dual microphone and speaker enable two-way audio — listen in or talk back through compatible Uniview UNV recorders and apps.
Weatherproof & tough
IP67 sealing with an IK10 vandal-resistant, NEMA 4X metal body handles Australian sun, dust and downpours, rated from -40 °C to 60 °C.
Can I use IR-only night vision and keep the warm light off?Yes. Select Infrared in Smart Illumination to use IR night vision without the warm-white illuminator for night lighting. Night footage is black and white. Leave Day/Night on Auto if you want colour video in daylight and automatic black-and-white IR video at night. If you also want no visible warning light during detections, disable any separately configured light/alarm-light linkage.
What is the difference between Infrared, White Light and Smart Dual-Light?Infrared provides black-and-white night video without warm-white night illumination. White Light uses visible warm-white illumination for colour video in darkness. Smart Dual-Light normally uses IR at night, then switches on white light when a supported detection event occurs. To keep the warm light off, choose Infrared rather than Smart Dual-Light. Setting names and availability in the app or NVR can vary with camera firmware.
Does it record in colour at night?Colour night video is an option, not a requirement. ColorHunter/Wise-ISP supports colour imaging with sufficient ambient light or warm-white illumination. For night monitoring without the warm light, select Infrared; the night image will be black and white.
What is Tri-Guard dual-light?Dual-light means the camera has both infrared and warm-white illuminators. You can choose Infrared for black-and-white night video, White Light for colour with visible illumination, or Smart Dual-Light to switch from IR to white light during supported detection events. Warm light is not compulsory.
Is the IPC3636SE-ADF28KMC-WP-I1 NDAA compliant?Yes. Uniview UNV OwlView cameras are NDAA Section 889 compliant, suitable for government, commercial and security-sensitive sites in Australia.
What lens and coverage does it have?A fixed 2.8 mm F1.0 lens gives a wide 111° horizontal field of view — ideal for entries, car parks, yards and shopfronts.
Does it support two-way audio?Yes — a built-in dual microphone and speaker enable two-way audio, plus audio and alarm I/O (check local laws before recording audio).
How is it powered?Single-cable PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over Cat6 to a PoE NVR or switch. A 12V DC option is also supported.
Can it record without an NVR?Yes — a MicroSD card up to 512 GB enables on-camera recording, with ANR to fill gaps if the network drops.
Is it suitable outdoors?Absolutely. The IP67-rated, IK10 vandal-resistant, NEMA 4X metal body is built for permanent outdoor installation in Australian conditions.
What warranty applies? This camera ships with a 3-year Australian warranty and local CCTV Guru tech support.
