What HDD size can I fit?
One SATA hard drive up to 8 TB. A surveillance-grade drive is recommended; an HDD is not usually included unless stated on this page.
Does it support AcuSense AI?
No — the C-Series records camera-side VCA events (motion, line crossing, intrusion, ANPR) but does not run on-board AI. For NVR-side AI choose the K-Series (e.g. NVR-108MH-K/8P).
What's the maximum recording resolution?
Up to 8 MP (4K) per channel, with H.265+ compression to keep file sizes down.
Which cameras are compatible?
Any HiLook or Hikvision IP camera, plus ONVIF-compatible third-party cameras.
Does it need a separate switch?
No. The 8 PoE ports supply data and power to each camera over a single cable, so no extra switch or power supplies are needed.
How do I view it remotely?
Through the free Hik-Connect mobile app or the iVMS-4200 desktop client for live view, playback and notifications.
