Hikvision DS-PDC10AM-EG2-WB AX PRO Outdoor Wireless PIR Curtain Detector

Description

Hikvision AX Pro Series

Slim Weatherproof Curtain Motion Detector for Windows & Perimeters

The DS-PDC10AM-EG2-WB is an advanced 433 MHz wireless narrow-beam PIR curtain detector from Hikvision's AX PRO security ecosystem. Specifically engineered for window frames, balconies, corridors, and perimeter walls, its narrow 5° detection angle creates an invisible narrow barrier across vulnerable entry points. Featuring an IP65 weatherproof rating and active IR anti-masking technology, it delivers reliable outdoor intrusion detection without triggering false alarms from weather or surrounding activity.

Detection Area
10m Wall / 5m Ceiling
Anti-Masking & IP Rating
Active IR | IP65 Rated
Battery Lifespan
Up to 5 Years (2× CR123A)
Wireless Range
1,000m Open Area

Active IR Anti-Masking & Directional Detection Support

Equipped with Active Infrared (IR) anti-masking technology, the Hikvision DS-PDC10AM-EG2-WB continuously scans its optical lens for obstruction attempts (such as spray paint, paper, or foil), instantly raising an alarm if tampered with. Its intelligent directional detection algorithm allows users to configure motion triggers based on directional travel, letting occupants walk out to a patio without triggering alarms while instantly detecting unwanted entry from the outside.

IP65 Weatherproof Housing & Pet Immunity

Built to withstand harsh weather conditions from -25°C to +60°C. Includes digital temperature compensation and up to 12 kg pet immunity when wall-mounted to prevent false triggers from small animals.

Tri-X Two-Way Wireless Communication

Operates on 433 MHz two-way wireless technology with AES-128 encryption and frequency hopping against radio jamming, ensuring reliable long-range connection to AX PRO hubs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the DS-PDC10AM-EG2-WB be installed outdoors?

Yes. With its IP65 ingress protection rating and wide operating temperature range (-25°C to +60°C), it is designed for outdoor window frames, doorways, and covered perimeters.

How does directional detection benefit my security system?

Directional detection allows the detector to distinguish whether motion is moving inside-to-outside or outside-to-inside, letting occupants walk out without triggering an alarm while blocking incoming intrusions.

What does Active IR anti-masking do?

Active IR anti-masking detects any attempt to blind or cover the sensor lens with spray paint, plastic, tape, or objects, sending an immediate tamper signal to the AX PRO control panel.

Is a mounting bracket included in the box?

Yes, the detector comes supplied with a versatile L-shaped bracket adapter suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting configurations.
