The Dahua DH-XVR5104H-4KL-X is a compact, affordable 4-channel Penta-brid recorder that accepts five signal types — HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP — so it records existing coax cameras and modern IP cameras together, up to 4K. It includes Smart Search and IVS intelligent video for tripwire and intrusion alerts, with Smart H.265+ to keep storage low. A neat mini 1U chassis with one HDD bay makes it an easy, budget-friendly upgrade from an old analogue system.

What does Penta-brid mean?
The XVR accepts five signal types on each channel — HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP — so you can run existing coax cameras and modern IP cameras on the same recorder.
Can I connect IP cameras too?
Yes — up to 6 IP channels (each up to 8MP) in addition to the 4 BNC inputs.
Does it include a hard drive?
No — it has one SATA bay but ships without storage. Add a surveillance-grade WD Purple or Seagate SkyHawk drive.
Can I view it remotely?
Yes — free DMSS app (iOS/Android) and SmartPSS via P2P, no static IP or port forwarding required.
