Documentation & Downloads BX1600MI-AZ Datasheet APC Back-UPS Quick Start Guide APC Back-UPS User Manual Frequently Asked Questions Does it have Australian power outlets?Yes. The BX1600MI-AZ has 4 Australian AS/NZS 3112 outlets, so local plugs connect directly without IEC leads or adaptors. How long will it run my equipment?Around 1 minute at the full 900W load and about 6.5 minutes at 450W. Light loads such as a modem and router can run for up to several hours. Is the output a pure sine wave? No. This model produces a stepped approximation to a sine wave. If your equipment uses an active PFC power supply, choose a pure sine wave model such as the APC Smart-UPS range instead. Does it connect to a computer for automatic shutdown? No. The BX1600MI-AZ has no USB or serial data port. If you need PowerChute software and automated shutdown, step up to an APC Smart-UPS model. What is Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)?AVR corrects sustained low or high mains voltage back to a safe range without discharging the battery, which protects your gear and extends battery life. What is the replacement battery? It uses the APC RBC176 replacement battery cartridge, with a typical service life of 3 to 5 years. Can I mount it in a rack? No. This is a tower-form UPS and is not rack-mountable. For rack installations, consider a 2U rackmount model such as the APC Smart-UPS C. How long does it take to charge?Typical recharge time is 8 hours. Charge it fully before depending on it for backup runtime. 2-Year APC Warranty Fast AU-Wide Shipping AU Tech Support

Yes. It is a strong option for NVRs, routers, modems and small network devices where backup power and surge protection are important. Runtime depends on the total connected load. How many outlets does it have? The BR1200SI has 8 IEC C13 outlets in total: 6 outlets with battery backup and surge protection, plus 2 surge-only outlets for non-critical equipment. Does it output sine wave power? Yes. The BR1200SI provides sine wave output, making it suitable for sensitive electronics, computers, networking devices and security equipment. Can the battery be replaced? Yes. The UPS supports a user-replaceable battery. The compatible replacement battery cartridge is APCRBC161. How long will it run my equipment? Runtime depends on the connected load. As a reference, Schneider Electric lists runtime at 100W as approximately 1 hour. Is this suitable for printers? Printers and other high-draw peripherals should generally be connected to surge-only outlets, not battery backup outlets, unless the manufacturer and load sizing confirm suitability.
