How does it see at night?
It's a full-colour ColorHunter camera. Wise-ISP processing plus an F1.0 large-aperture lens keep footage in colour down to 0.0003 lux, and a warm-light LED lights the scene up to 30 m in complete darkness.
Is this a colour or infrared camera?
Full colour, 24/7. Unlike traditional infrared cameras that switch to black-and-white at night, ColorHunter with warm-light illumination keeps clothing, vehicle and number-plate colours visible after dark.
What lens does it have?
A fixed 2.8 mm lens at F1.0, giving a wide 110.4° horizontal field of view — ideal for covering entries, driveways and open areas at close-to-medium range.
What smart detection does it have?
Cross-line and intrusion analytics based on human-body detection, plus ultra motion detection, tampering and audio detection to help cut false alarms from weather and moving foliage.
Can it record without an NVR?
Yes — a microSD card up to 256 GB enables on-camera recording, so it can run standalone or alongside a recorder, with ANR to fill gaps after a network dropout.
How is it powered?
Single-cable PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over Cat6, or a DC 12 V supply. It draws only up to 2.8 W.
Does it record audio?
Yes — it has a built-in microphone for audio capture alongside video (check local laws before recording audio).
Which recorders work with it?
It works with Uniview UNV NVRs via plug-and-play and with most ONVIF (Profile S/G/T) recorders. Pair it with a UNV PoE NVR for the full smart feature set.
