Does this kit need a separate NVR or PoE switch?
No. The UDM-SE is an all-in-one console with a built-in 8-port PoE switch and UniFi Protect NVR, so it powers and records all five cameras on its own.
Are there any monthly fees?
No. UniFi Protect runs locally on the UDM-SE with recordings on the built-in SSD — no subscriptions or cloud fees required.
What resolution are the cameras?
All five cameras are 2K (4 MP) with AI event detection — two G5 Bullets, two G5 Domes, and one G5 Flex.
Can I add more cameras later?
Yes. The UDM-SE is fully scalable — add more PoE cameras up to the available ports, or expand with a UniFi PoE switch.
Is the kit NDAA compliant?
Yes. Ubiquiti is a US-based manufacturer and these UniFi devices are NDAA Section 889 compliant — suitable for government and security-sensitive sites.
