WiFi 7 with Full 6 GHz Support
Next-generation 802.11be WiFi 7 across 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz delivers up to 5.8 Gbps on 6 GHz and 8.6 Gbps on 5 GHz — wide, clean channels for ultra-fast, low-latency connections.
8 Spatial Streams
With 4×4 MU-MIMO on 5 GHz plus 2×2 on 6 GHz and 2.4 GHz, the U7 Pro Max moves more data to more clients at once — perfect for crowded, high-density spaces.
Built for 500+ Devices
Rated for 500+ connected devices across roughly 160 m² (1,750 ft²) of coverage, it keeps offices, venues and retail floors fast even when everyone is online at once.
Real-Time Spectral Analysis
A dedicated spectral scanning engine continuously monitors the airwaves for interference and selects the cleanest channels automatically*, keeping WiFi reliable in busy RF environments.
2.5 GbE Uplink + PoE+
A single 2.5 GbE RJ45 port handles both data and power via PoE+ (802.3at) — one cable, no bottleneck, and no separate power run required.
UniFi Network — No Subscription
Manage SSIDs, VLANs, captive portals, fast roaming and guest networks through UniFi Network — fully local control with no monthly fees or cloud lock-in.
Enterprise WiFi Features
Band steering, 802.11k/v/r fast roaming, Zero-Wait DFS, Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0), PPSK, RadSec and dynamic RADIUS VLANs come standard for seamless, secure roaming.
NDAA Compliant
Fully NDAA Section 889 compliant for government, defence and security-sensitive installations where supply-chain integrity is a requirement.
*Real-time spectral analysis requires UniFi Network 8.2.93 and later. 6 GHz operation and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) availability depend on region and firmware.
UniFi U7 Pro Max Access Point
The WiFi 7 ceiling AP unit (U7-Pro-Max).
Pro Mount & Hardware
Ceiling/wall mount bracket, screws and anchors included.
Documentation
Quick-start guide and installation instructions.
Not Included
A PoE+ switch/injector and network cable are required and sold separately.
Does the U7 Pro Max require a subscription?
No. UniFi Network runs locally on a UniFi gateway or Cloud Key. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required.
What do I need to run the U7 Pro Max?
A UniFi Network host (such as a UniFi Cloud Gateway, Dream Machine, or Cloud Key) running UniFi Network 8.2.93+, plus a PoE+ (802.3at) switch to power the AP.
How fast is WiFi 7 on this AP?
Up to 5.8 Gbps on the 6 GHz band (BW320) and 8.6 Gbps on 5 GHz (BW240), with 8 total spatial streams across the three bands.
Can it use the 2.5 GbE uplink for full speed?
Yes. The single RJ45 port supports 1/2.5 GbE, so a 2.5 GbE switch port lets the AP deliver WiFi 7 speeds without a wired bottleneck.
Is 6 GHz available in Australia?
6 GHz operation depends on regional regulations and firmware. Ubiquiti enables supported bands per country via UniFi Network updates.
Is the U7 Pro Max NDAA compliant?
Yes. Ubiquiti is a US-based manufacturer and the U7 Pro Max is NDAA Section 889 compliant — suitable for government and security-sensitive sites.
