Choose the right view
A fixed 2.8mm lens keeps the coverage predictable. Position the camera for the area you need to monitor.
Plan the view around the doorway, driveway or aisle that matters most. Check the framing at the intended mounting height before fixing the bracket; lens choice affects how much of the scene is visible and how large a person appears in the image.
Monitor after dark
Full-colour imaging uses available light and supplemental white lighting when needed. Detail depends on lighting, scene and placement.
Check the actual scene after sunset as well as during the day. Nearby walls, reflective surfaces and moving subjects can change the result, so adjust the angle and lighting for the area where useful detail is needed.
Connect to your security system
Use a compatible PoE network connection or the supported DC input for installation.
Plan both the network path and the power connection before installation. Confirm the listed power method for this model, then test live viewing and recording before securing cables and weatherproofing any outdoor connections.
Focus on relevant events
Configure line-crossing and intrusion rules for the scene. Supported event types depend on hardware, firmware and the recorder or software used.
Place detection boundaries around useful entry paths and exclude busy areas that do not need attention. Test a person walking through the scene, then refine the rule and notification schedule so alerts match how the site is used.
