Do the cameras record in colour at night?
Yes. The VIGI C450 keeps full-colour imaging in very low light using its F1.6 lens and built-in supplemental lighting, switching to colour rather than black-and-white IR.
Does a hard drive come included?
Choose a 2TB, 4TB, 6TB or 8TB option and the surveillance-grade drive is supplied with your kit — though it ships separately, not pre-installed, ready to fit into the NVR's single SATA bay. The base kit ships disk-free.
Will it alert me to people and vehicles only?
On-board AI classifies humans and vehicles and supports line-crossing and area-intrusion rules, so you can filter out irrelevant movement and reduce false alarms.
How are the cameras powered?
Each camera runs on a single Cat5e/6 cable to one of the NVR's 8 built-in PoE+ ports — no separate power supplies or powerpoints at the camera, up to 100 m away.
Does it support two-way audio?
Yes. Each camera has a built-in mic and speaker, so you can listen and talk live through the VIGI app or NVR (check local laws before recording audio).
Can I view it remotely?
Yes. The free VIGI app for iOS and Android gives live view, playback and instant push notifications from anywhere, with no monthly subscription.
Are the cameras weatherproof?
All eight turrets are IP67-rated for dust and water and operate from −30°C to 60°C, suiting exposed Australian outdoor installations.
