- To achieve 10 Gbps speeds, both ends of the connection must support 10G — so yes, you'll need a 10G-capable switch or a second device with a 10G port. However, the TX401 is backward compatible and will auto-negotiate to 1 Gbps or 100 Mbps on standard Gigabit switches.
- What cable do I need for 10 Gbps?
