Choose the connection that suits the site
Check Wi-Fi coverage at the actual camera position before mounting. Remote viewing requires the necessary network and internet connection. A battery or solar panel does not replace the camera’s network connection.

Use a compatible microSD card, up to 512GB, for local storage. The card is separate. Tapo Care cloud storage is optional and requires a subscription; available features and plan terms should be checked with TP-Link. Recording duration depends on capacity, scene activity and the selected settings.
Power and installation planning
