Description
TP-Link Deco XE75 AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Mesh System (2-Pack)
Whole-Home Wi-Fi 6E with 6 GHz Coverage
The TP-Link Deco XE75 is a tri-band AXE5400 Wi-Fi 6E mesh system that brings 6 GHz band access to every room in your home. The 2-pack covers up to 500 m², eliminating dead zones while delivering fast, low-latency wireless across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and the less-congested 6 GHz band — all managed through the free Deco app.
Description
Wi-Fi 6E extends the proven performance of Wi-Fi 6 into the 6 GHz spectrum, providing a dedicated fast lane for compatible devices with significantly less interference than the crowded 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The Deco XE75 uses the 6 GHz band as a dedicated wireless backhaul channel between nodes, freeing up the 5 GHz band entirely for client devices and delivering consistently faster speeds throughout your home compared to dual-band mesh systems.
Each Deco XE75 unit includes a 2.5 Gbps port for wired backhaul or connection to a multi-gigabit switch or NAS, making it well suited to homes with multi-gigabit NBN plans or wired infrastructure. The system is backward compatible with all existing Wi-Fi devices and supports seamless roaming — your devices automatically connect to the strongest node as you move through the home.
TP-Link HomeShield provides built-in network security, parental controls, and QoS, managed through the Deco app alongside live view, device management, and guest network controls.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the advantage of the 6 GHz dedicated backhaul?
- In most tri-band mesh systems, one of the bands is reserved for node-to-node communication (backhaul). The Deco XE75 uses the 6 GHz band for this purpose, leaving the 5 GHz band entirely available for client devices. This results in faster and more consistent speeds for connected devices compared to systems that share the 5 GHz band between backhaul and clients.
- Do I need Wi-Fi 6E devices to benefit from the Deco XE75?
- No. The Deco XE75 is fully backward compatible with Wi-Fi 4, 5, and 6 devices. All existing devices will connect and benefit from the improved mesh coverage and reduced congestion. Wi-Fi 6E devices will additionally gain access to the 6 GHz band for maximum performance.
- Can I add more Deco XE75 units to expand coverage?
- Yes. Additional Deco XE75 units can be added to your existing mesh network at any time via the Deco app, extending coverage beyond the 500 m² provided by the 2-pack.
- Does the Deco XE75 support wired backhaul between nodes?
- Yes. Connecting Deco XE75 nodes via Ethernet cable provides the most stable and highest-performance backhaul, recommended for multi-storey homes or installations where the nodes are far apart. The 2.5 Gbps port on each unit supports wired backhaul at multi-gigabit speeds.
- Does the Deco XE75 require a HomeShield subscription?
- Basic HomeShield features including parental controls and QoS are free. Advanced security features such as malicious site blocking, intrusion prevention, and detailed reports require a HomeShield Pro subscription, available through the Deco app.
