Description
TP-Link Deco BE25 Outdoor Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Node
Extend Your Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Network Outdoors
The TP-Link Deco BE25 Outdoor brings Wi-Fi 7 mesh performance to outdoor environments. Rated IP65 for dust and water resistance, it is purpose-built for Australian conditions — covering patios, gardens, driveways, pool areas, and commercial outdoor spaces with the same seamless mesh experience as your indoor Deco network.
Description
Most Wi-Fi mesh systems stop at the back door. The Deco BE25 Outdoor changes that by adding a weatherproof Wi-Fi 7 node that integrates directly into your existing Deco mesh network. Running on the AXE3600 tri-band standard — 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz — it delivers fast, low-latency wireless coverage in areas where indoor nodes cannot reach.
Multi-Link Operation (MLO) allows the node to connect across multiple bands simultaneously, improving throughput and resilience even in environments with wireless interference. The Deco BE25 Outdoor is managed through the same Deco app as your indoor nodes, with no separate configuration required.
PoE support simplifies installation by allowing the unit to be powered directly through a standard Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for a separate power outlet at the mounting location.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the Deco BE25 Outdoor require an existing Deco mesh system?
- The Deco BE25 Outdoor is designed to integrate with an existing Deco mesh network. It can also be used as a standalone access point, but its mesh roaming and management features are optimised when used alongside other Deco nodes.
- What PoE standard does the Deco BE25 Outdoor support?
- The Deco BE25 Outdoor supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at PoE standards. A compatible PoE switch or PoE injector is required if powering via Ethernet. A DC power adapter is also included for installations with a nearby power outlet.
- Is the IP65 rating sufficient for Australian outdoor conditions?
- IP65 provides full dust protection and resistance to water jets from any direction, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas, patios, eaves, and light rain exposure. It is not rated for full submersion. For exposed coastal or high-rainfall installations, additional weatherproofing of cable entry points is recommended.
- Can the Deco BE25 Outdoor be used as a wireless backhaul node?
- Yes. The BE25 Outdoor supports wireless backhaul to other Deco nodes, allowing installation without running an Ethernet cable. For best performance, wired Ethernet backhaul via PoE is recommended where possible.
- Does the Deco BE25 Outdoor support HomeShield parental controls and security?
- Yes. As part of the Deco ecosystem, the BE25 Outdoor supports TP-Link HomeShield features including network security, parental controls, and QoS. Basic features are free; advanced features require a HomeShield Pro subscription.
