5 Gbps IDS/IPS — Fastest in Class for Desktop Gateways
The UCG-Fiber delivers 5 Gbps IDS/IPS throughput — matching the UDM-Pro-Max — in a compact desktop form factor. Ideal for high-speed FTTP connections where security cannot bottleneck throughput.
Dual 10G WAN — 10G SFP+ + 10G RJ45
Two independent 10G WAN ports — one SFP+ for fibre ISP connections, one RJ45 for copper — enabling true dual-WAN failover and load balancing across two 10G ISP connections simultaneously.
10G SFP+ LAN Uplink
A dedicated 10G SFP+ LAN port connects to a core switch at full 10G speed — ensuring the gateway never bottlenecks your internal network even on multi-gig fibre connections.
4 × 2.5 GbE Switch Ports (incl. PoE+)
Built-in 4-port 2.5 GbE switch with one PoE+ port (30W) — power a UniFi AP, camera, or VoIP phone directly from the UCG-Fiber without a separate switch.
NVMe SSD Slot — Up to 2TB UniFi Protect NVR
An M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slot (SSD sold separately, up to 2TB) enables full UniFi Protect NVR recording locally on the UCG-Fiber — no separate NVR device required.
50+ UniFi Devices & 500+ Clients
Manages up to 50+ UniFi devices and 500+ clients simultaneously — suitable for medium-sized deployments including offices, retail, and multi-AP environments.
NDAA Compliant
Fully NDAA-compliant — suitable for government, defence, education, and security-sensitive installations where supply chain compliance is mandatory.
Compact Desktop — 675g, No Rack Required
At just ~675g without SSD, the UCG-Fiber sits on any desk, shelf, or in a small comms cabinet — no rack space required for 10G enterprise-grade gateway performance.
✅ Choose UCG-Fiber if you need…
Dual 10G WAN for FTTP fibre connections, 5 Gbps IDS/IPS, NVMe NVR storage, and NDAA compliance in a compact desktop form factor. Best for high-speed fibre sites and security-sensitive deployments.
✅ Choose UXG-Max if you need…
A gateway-only device with 2.5G ports and 1.5 Gbps IDS/IPS for standard NBN/fibre connections. Best for sites that already have a separate controller and don’t need NVMe NVR storage.
✅ Choose UDM-Pro if you need…
An all-in-one rack-mount console with built-in controller, HDD NVR bay, and 10G SFP+. Best for deployments that want everything in one rack unit without a separate controller.
✅ Choose UDM-Pro-Max if you need…
Maximum enterprise capacity — 200+ devices, dual HDD RAID NVR, 5 Gbps IPS — for large campus and enterprise deployments.
🏢 High-Speed FTTP Business Networks
Offices and businesses on 1 Gbps+ FTTP fibre connections that need dual 10G WAN, 5 Gbps IDS/IPS, and NVMe NVR in a compact desktop device.
🏫 Government & Education
NDAA-compliant gateway for government agencies, schools, and universities requiring supply chain compliance alongside enterprise-grade routing and security.
📹 UniFi Protect Camera Systems
Add an NVMe SSD (up to 2TB) to enable full UniFi Protect NVR recording locally — no separate UNVR required for small to medium camera deployments.
🌐 Multi-WAN & ISP Redundancy
Sites requiring dual 10G WAN failover across two ISP connections — the UCG-Fiber supports simultaneous 10G SFP+ and 10G RJ45 WAN with automatic failover.
📦 UCG-Fiber Unit

⚠️ NVMe SSD Not Included
An M.2 2280 NVMe SSD (up to 2TB) is required for UniFi Protect NVR recording. Sold separately.
Does the UCG-Fiber require a subscription?
No. UniFi Network and UniFi Protect run fully locally on the UCG-Fiber. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required for full functionality.
What NVMe SSD is compatible?
The UCG-Fiber accepts M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs up to 2TB. Ubiquiti recommends using a compatible high-endurance NVMe SSD for 24/7 UniFi Protect recording workloads.
Does it support dual-WAN failover?
Yes. The UCG-Fiber supports dual-WAN failover and load balancing across the 10G SFP+ WAN and 10G RJ45 WAN ports simultaneously.
Is it NDAA compliant?
Yes. The UCG-Fiber is fully NDAA compliant — suitable for government, defence, education, and security-sensitive installations.
Does it work as a standalone router?
The UCG-Fiber is a UniFi Cloud Gateway with a built-in controller — it does not require a separate Cloud Key or UniFi OS Console to function. It manages itself and connected UniFi devices directly.
Can I view cameras remotely?
Yes. The UniFi Protect app supports remote viewing via the UniFi cloud relay — no port forwarding required. Remote access is free with a UniFi account.
