5 Gbps IDS/IPS Throughput
The UCG-Fiber delivers 5 Gbps IDS/IPS throughput in a compact desktop form factor — with 55,000+ threat signatures available through CyberSecure. Ideal for high-speed FTTP connections where security cannot bottleneck throughput.
10G SFP+ & 10 GbE RJ45 WAN
Default dual-WAN with one 10G SFP+ for fibre ISP connections and one 10 GbE RJ45 for copper — enabling multi-WAN load balancing and failover, expandable to up to 6 WAN ports.
Second 10G SFP+ Port
A second 10G SFP+ port connects to a core switch or second uplink at full 10G speed — ensuring the gateway never bottlenecks your internal network even on multi-gig fibre connections.
4 × 2.5 GbE Switch Ports (incl. PoE+)
Built-in 4-port 2.5 GbE switch with one PoE+ port (30 W budget) — power a UniFi AP, camera, or VoIP phone directly from the UCG-Fiber without a separate switch.
NVMe SSD Slot — UniFi Protect NVR Built In
A selectable NVMe SSD slot (up to 2 TB, sold separately) enables full UniFi Protect NVR recording locally — managing up to (15) HD, (8) 2K, or (5) 4K cameras with no separate NVR device required.
Full UniFi Application Suite
Runs Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect locally with a built-in controller — managing 50+ UniFi devices, 50 Access hubs, and 500+ simultaneous clients with no separate Cloud Key required.
NDAA Compliant
Fully NDAA compliant — suitable for government, defence, education, and security-sensitive installations where supply-chain compliance is mandatory.
Compact Desktop — No Rack Required
At just 675 g without an SSD with a 0.96″ status display, the UCG-Fiber sits on any desk, shelf, or small comms cabinet — no rack space required for 10G enterprise-grade gateway performance.
Choose UCG-Fiber if you need…
Dual 10G WAN for FTTP fibre connections, 5 Gbps IDS/IPS, NVMe NVR storage, and NDAA compliance in a compact desktop form factor. Best for high-speed fibre sites and security-sensitive deployments.
Choose UXG-Max if you need…
A gateway-only device with 2.5G ports for standard NBN/fibre connections. Best for sites that already have a separate controller and don’t need NVMe NVR storage.
Choose UDM-Pro if you need…
An all-in-one rack-mount console with built-in controller, HDD NVR bay, and 10G SFP+. Best for deployments that want everything in one rack unit.
Choose UDM-Pro-Max if you need…
Maximum enterprise capacity — more managed devices, dual HDD RAID NVR, and 5 Gbps IPS — for large campus and enterprise deployments.
High-Speed FTTP Business Networks
Offices and businesses on 1 Gbps+ FTTP fibre connections that need dual 10G WAN, 5 Gbps IDS/IPS, and NVMe NVR in a compact desktop device.
Government & Education
NDAA-compliant gateway for government agencies, schools, and universities requiring supply-chain compliance alongside enterprise-grade routing and security.
UniFi Protect Camera Systems
Add an NVMe SSD (up to 2 TB) to enable full UniFi Protect NVR recording locally — no separate UNVR required for small to medium camera deployments.
Multi-WAN & ISP Redundancy
Sites requiring WAN failover and load balancing across multiple ISP connections — the UCG-Fiber supports up to 6 WAN ports with automatic failover.
UCG-Fiber Unit
Compact desktop 10G UniFi Cloud Gateway with dual 10G WAN, second 10G SFP+, and 4 × 2.5 GbE switch.

NVMe SSD Not Included
An NVMe SSD (up to 2 TB) is required for UniFi Protect NVR recording. Sold separately.
Does the UCG-Fiber require a subscription?
No. UniFi Network and UniFi Protect run fully locally on the UCG-Fiber. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required for full functionality.
What NVMe SSD is compatible?
The UCG-Fiber accepts a selectable NVMe SSD up to 2 TB. Ubiquiti recommends a high-endurance NVMe SSD for 24/7 UniFi Protect recording workloads.
Does it support dual-WAN failover?
Yes. The UCG-Fiber supports multi-WAN load balancing and failover across the 10G SFP+ and 10 GbE RJ45 WAN ports, expandable to up to 6 WAN ports.
Is it NDAA compliant?
Yes. The UCG-Fiber is fully NDAA compliant — suitable for government, defence, education, and security-sensitive installations.
Does it work as a standalone router?
Yes. The UCG-Fiber is a UniFi Cloud Gateway with a built-in controller — it does not require a separate Cloud Key or UniFi OS Console. It manages itself and connected UniFi devices directly.
How many cameras can it record?
With an NVMe SSD installed, UniFi Protect supports up to (15) HD, (8) 2K, or (5) 4K cameras directly on the UCG-Fiber.
