DS-KAD706Y-SP — Y-Series 2-Wire Intercom Distributor
The Hikvision DS-KAD706Y-SP is a Y-Series 2-wire IP distributor for audio/video intercom systems. It connects door stations and indoor stations over a simple two-wire topology, supporting up to six devices per unit.
Wiring: 2-Wire IP — Signal Distributor
The DS-KAD706Y-SP’s six cascade ports carry signal only; they do not supply power to connected intercom devices. The distributor itself requires its specified supply and the system needs the appropriate powered equipment. Do not substitute it for a powered DS-KAD706Y-P or an Ethernet PoE switch.
Existing cable can be reused only after checking conductor size, cable condition, distance, polarity where applicable and the manufacturer’s wiring diagram. Matching the wire count alone does not establish compatibility. Locks, gate controls and their power requirements must be checked separately.
Its six 2-wire cascade ports carry audio and video signalling (without device power), and two further cascade interfaces allow expansion with DS-KAD704Y, DS-KAD706Y and DS-KAD706Y-S series distributors.
