The Hikvision DS-KAD706Y-P is a professional 2-wire IP distributor for multi-unit intercom installations. It provides 6 cascade ports with integrated device power supply and supports up to 2 cascade connections for DS-KAD704Y, DS-KAD706Y and DS-KAD706Y-S series devices — the core infrastructure for expanding intercom systems across zones or buildings.
Wiring: 2-Wire IP
DS-KAD706Y-P belongs to Hikvision’s two-wire IP intercom platform. Match the exact door station, monitor and distributor generation; the Y-series and earlier products must not be mixed on wire count alone. Do not treat the two-wire terminals as a standard Ethernet PoE connection.
Existing cable can be reused only after checking conductor size, cable condition, distance, polarity where applicable and the manufacturer’s wiring diagram. Matching the wire count alone does not establish compatibility. Locks, gate controls and their power requirements must be checked separately.
It includes 8 status indicators, an RJ-45 interface and a reset button for easy management, with DIN-rail mounting and a 24 VDC input for permanent installation in security control rooms.
