The Eve Water Guard is a connected water leak detector that protects your home before a small drip becomes costly damage. A 2 m sensing cable detects water along its entire length — extendable up to 150 m — so the moment moisture is found under a sink, behind the washing machine or near the hot water system, Eve Water Guard sounds a 100 dB siren, flashes a red warning light and pushes an instant alert to your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Built for Apple Home with Thread connectivity, it is mains-powered and always on, controlled through the Apple Home app, the Eve app and Siri.
Full-length leak detection
Unlike single-point sensors, the flexible sensing cable detects water anywhere along its length. Run it under sinks, behind appliances or across the laundry floor — a leak is caught the instant it touches any section.
Loud siren, instant alerts
When water is detected, a 100 dB siren sounds and a red warning light flashes on the unit. At the same time, push notifications reach your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch so you can act fast — even away from home with an Apple hub.
Extend to protect more
Start with the included 2 m cable and add Eve Water Guard Cable Extension pieces to reach up to 150 m of coverage — ideal for larger laundries, plant rooms and multi-appliance areas.
Apple Home with Thread
Built for Apple Home over Thread for fast, reliable, low-power connectivity. Mains-powered and always on, it also acts as a Thread router to strengthen your smart home network. Set up in the Eve or Apple Home app — no Eve account required.
Which smart home platforms does the Eve Water Guard work with?
This Thread generation of Eve Water Guard is built for Apple Home. It is controlled through the Apple Home app, the Eve app and Siri on an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. It is not designed for Google Home or Amazon Alexa.
How long is the sensing cable and can it be extended?
A 2 m (6.5 ft) sensing cable is included in the box. It detects water along its entire length, and you can extend it up to 150 m (490 ft) using Eve Water Guard Cable Extension pieces to protect larger areas.
How does it alert me to a leak?
The moment water touches any part of the sensing cable, Eve Water Guard sounds a 100 dB siren and flashes a red warning light. It also sends push notifications to your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, and to you when away if you have an Apple home hub.
Do I need an Apple TV or HomePod?
Not for local alerts. A home hub (HomePod, HomePod mini or Apple TV) is required to receive notifications while you are away from home and to run automations.
How is it powered?
Eve Water Guard is mains-powered (100-240 V, 50/60 Hz) and plugs straight into a wall socket, so it is always on. An Australian Type I plug adapter is included in the box.
Is it indoor or outdoor?
Indoor only. Position it near common leak points such as under sinks, behind the washing machine, near the dishwasher, hot water system or in the laundry, and run the sensing cable along the floor.
