The AXIS TU1001-VE is a robust outdoor-ready microphone that adds high-quality audio capture to any Axis network device with a 3.5 mm microphone input — cameras, audio modules or audio bridges. It uses a hemispherical pickup pattern to collect sound from every direction across a 20 Hz – 20 kHz range, and it is built to survive outdoors: an IP66-rated aluminium casing and IK10 impact rating mean rain, dust and deliberate abuse are all accounted for. Power is drawn from the host Axis device (2–10 V DC, 0.006 W max), so there is no separate supply to install. Wall or ceiling mountable, with optional AXIS ACI Conduit Adapters for a fully protected cable run.

Video tells you what happened; audio often tells you why. Adding a TU1001-VE to an existing Axis camera or audio bridge captures verbal exchanges at a gate, an intercom point, a loading dock or a car park — without running a second network drop. Because the microphone is passive and powered by the host device, it can be retrofitted to installed cameras that already have a microphone input, making it one of the least disruptive upgrades in an Axis system.

Collects sound evenly from every direction above the mounting surface — ideal for open forecourts, entrances and covered walkways where the sound source moves.
No extra power run
Draws 2–10 V DC directly from the host Axis product at a maximum of 0.006 W. One 3.5 mm cable does both signal and power.
