The M3088-V captures 8MP detail at up to 3840×2160 resolution, with Wide Dynamic Range (up to 120 dB) keeping both bright windows and dark corners clear in the same frame. The factory-focused fixed lens means there is no manual focusing on site — it twists on with its bayonet mount and is ready to record, recording directly to an onboard microSD card or to network-attached storage.
Deep-Learning Analytics
AXIS Object Analytics comes preinstalled, detecting and classifying humans and vehicles on the edge — with line crossing, object-in-area and time-in-area (loitering) scenarios for fast forensic search.
Built-In Cybersecurity
Axis Edge Vault with a CC EAL6+ secure element, signed OS, secure boot and signed video protect the device identity and verify your footage as untampered.
Discreet & Vandal-Resistant
A compact polycarbonate mini dome rated IP42 and IK08, protected against redirection, defocusing, dust and dripping water — ideal for shops, offices and receptions.
Efficient by Design
Axis Zipstream with H.264/H.265 cuts bandwidth and storage by around 50%, while PoE Class 2 keeps power draw low at a typical 3.6 W.
Is the Axis M3088-V NDAA compliant?Yes. Axis cameras are NDAA Section 889 compliant and the M3088-V is also TAA compliant, making it suitable for government and enterprise projects.
What resolution does it record? It records 8MP at up to 3840×2160 (4K) using H.264, H.265 or Motion JPEG, with Axis Zipstream to reduce bandwidth and storage.
Does it have built-in infrared (IR) night vision? No. The M3088-V does not include built-in IR illumination. It is a day/night camera designed for indoor areas that have ambient lighting.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?It is an indoor camera rated IP42 (dust and dripping water) and IK08 (vandal resistant), with an operating range of 0 °C to 40 °C. It is best suited to indoor environments.
Does it support analytics?Yes. A deep learning processing unit runs AXIS Object Analytics on the edge to detect and classify humans and vehicles, including line crossing and time-in-area (loitering) detection.
How is it powered? It uses Power over Ethernet (PoE IEEE 802.3af/at Type 1 Class 2), with a single cable for power and data at a typical 3.6 W draw.
Does it have a microphone or audio? There is no built-in microphone. Two-way audio and I/O can be added through Axis portcast technology using compatible accessories such as the AXIS T61 Audio and I/O Interface series.
Can it record without an NVR?Yes. It supports edge storage to a microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC card (with SD card encryption) and recording to network-attached storage (NAS).
Is it ONVIF compatible?Yes. It supports ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T for broad compatibility with third-party video management systems.
