NDAA Compliant • Network I/O Relay Module
Ten I/O ports and a form C relay in one PoE module
The Axis A9210 Network I/O Relay Module is a simple, cost-efficient way to extend the capabilities of an Axis or third-party security system. It provides 10 I/O ports — two configurable I/Os, five supervised inputs and three outputs — plus one form C relay that can be wired wet or dry. Built on the open VAPIX® and ACAP platforms with Axis Edge Vault cybersecurity, it scales to 128 I/Os and 64 relays over a single IP connection.

AXIS A9210 Network I/O Relay Module — Official Overview
Extended functionality for your whole site
With ten I/O ports and a form C relay output, the A9210 enhances Axis and third-party security systems alike. It makes it easy to add basic access control for door monitoring and scheduled lock control, integrate cameras for visual verification and event-driven workflows, and monitor analytics, alarms and sensors to detect and respond to intrusions or emergencies. Modbus sensor ports extend it further, supporting environmental sensors such as temperature and humidity.
Scales to 128 I/Os on one cable
Multi-drop technology lets a single A9210 support up to 16 AXIS A9910 expansion modules — up to 128 I/Os and 64 relays over just one PoE connection.
Open and easy to integrate
VAPIX and ACAP compliance makes integration with VMS, alarm, tamper and intrusion systems straightforward, while MQTT support connects it to IoT devices and cloud applications.
Hardened by Axis Edge Vault
A hardware-based cybersecurity platform safeguards the device and protects sensitive information from unauthorised access.
Install it almost anywhere
Ships with a wall-mount bracket and supports DIN rail mounting vertically, horizontally or in blade installations — indoors, or outdoors inside a suitable cabinet.
Typical applications
Emergency and duress triggers, door monitoring and scheduled lock control, temperature and environmental monitoring, and gate or vehicle-access control — all integrated into your existing Axis system.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the A9210 actually do?It adds 10 I/O ports and a form C relay to your network, letting an Axis or third-party system monitor inputs (sensors, buttons, door contacts) and trigger outputs (locks, gates, sirens, lights) over IP.
How many inputs and outputs are there?Ten in total: 2 configurable I/Os, 5 inputs and 3 outputs, plus one form C relay output that can be wired wet or dry.
How far can it scale?Using multi-drop, one A9210 supports up to 16 AXIS A9910 expansion modules for a maximum of 128 I/Os and 64 relays — all on a single IP connection.
Is the Axis A9210 NDAA compliant?Yes. Like the wider Axis range, it is NDAA (Section 889) and TAA compliant, suiting government and enterprise projects.
Can it be used for access control?Yes. It supports basic access control such as door monitoring and scheduled lock control, and it is certified to the UL294 access control standard.
How is it powered?A single PoE (Class 4) cable supplies power and data. It also accepts a 12 V DC input.
Will it integrate with non-Axis systems?Yes. It uses the open VAPIX and ACAP platforms and supports MQTT, so it integrates with third-party VMS, alarm, intrusion and IoT/cloud platforms.
Can I mount it on a DIN rail?Yes. A wall-mount bracket is included, and with a DIN rail clip it can be mounted vertically, horizontally or in blade installations.
What warranty applies in Australia? It is backed by a 5-year Axis warranty, supported locally by CCTV Guru with Australia-wide shipping and tech support.
