Frequently Asked Questions
What is a press-to-exit button?
It's a manual switch that releases an electrically-locked door from the inside, letting people exit without a card or code.
Does it need its own power?
No. It's a passive dry-contact switch — it simply opens/closes the circuit for your access controller, strike or maglock.
What can I wire it to?
Any access controller, electric strike, magnetic lock or door station with a request-to-exit (REX) or push-button input.
Is it suitable outdoors?
The 304 stainless panel resists corrosion, but as a mechanical button it's best used indoors or in sheltered entryways.
