Does the UDW require a subscription?
No. UniFi Network and UniFi Protect run fully locally on the UDW. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required for full functionality.
Does it include a separate access point?
No — the WiFi 6 access point is built directly into the UDW. No separate AP is required for most deployments, though additional UniFi APs can be added for larger coverage areas.
Can it power UniFi cameras directly?
Yes. The 4 × PoE++ ports (60W each), 4 × PoE+ ports (30W each), and 4 × PoE ports (15.4W each) can power UniFi cameras, APs, and other PoE devices directly from the UDW.
What storage is included for UniFi Protect?
The UDW ships with a 128GB SSD and a pre-installed 512GB microSD card for UniFi Protect NVR storage — no separate NVR or HDD required out of the box.
Can I add a second PSU for redundancy?
