8-Port Built-in PoE — 180W Budget
Power and connect UniFi cameras, access points, and PoE devices directly from the UDM-SE — no separate PoE switch required. Eight Gigabit RJ45 ports deliver up to 15.4W (PoE) or 30W (PoE+) per port within a total 180W budget.
3.5 Gbps IDS/IPS Routing
Enterprise threat management with a stateful firewall, application-aware Layer 7 firewall, DPI, content filtering, ad blocking, and intrusion prevention — backed by 55,000+ IDS/IPS signatures with CyberSecure, all at 3.5 Gbps.
Dual 10G SFP+ & 2.5 GbE WAN
Two 10G SFP+ ports (one default 10G WAN, one for high-speed LAN uplink) plus a 2.5 GbE RJ45 WAN port give you flexible, future-proof ISP and core-switch connectivity.
Built-in UniFi Protect NVR
The single 3.5″ SATA HDD bay enables full UniFi Protect camera recording locally on the unit, while the integrated 128 GB SSD accelerates the experience and event retrieval. Records up to (8) 4K, (14) 2K, or (24) HD cameras.
1.3″ Touchscreen Display
Monitor system status, network health, PoE activity, and storage directly on the unit via the built-in touchscreen — no PC or app required for on-site diagnostics.
Full UniFi Application Suite
Runs UniFi Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect out of the box — supporting 100+ UniFi devices and 1,000+ simultaneous clients with no separate cloud key, controller, or NVR hardware.
Advanced VPN & License-Free SD-WAN
WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP and IPsec VPN servers/clients, Teleport zero-config VPN, Site Magic site-to-site, plus licence-free SD-WAN — all built in with no additional licensing.
Redundancy & NDAA Compliant
Shadow Mode (VRRP) gateway failover and USP-RPS DC power backup keep critical sites online. Fully NDAA Section 889 compliant for government, defence, and security-sensitive installations.
Choose UDM-SE if you need…
Built-in PoE to power cameras and APs directly, a 180W PoE budget, a 128 GB SSD, and a 1.3″ touchscreen. Best where the UDM-SE replaces both a gateway and a PoE switch.
Choose UDM-Pro if you need…
Pure routing/gateway performance with dual 10G SFP+ and no built-in PoE. Best where a separate managed PoE switch is already in place.

Rack-Mount Hardware
Rack-mount brackets, screws, and power cord included.
Quick-Start Guide
Installation guide and documentation included.
Not Included
3.5″ HDD for UniFi Protect storage, cameras, and the USP-RPS power backup are sold separately.
Does the UDM-SE require a UniFi subscription?
No. UniFi Network and UniFi Protect run fully locally on the UDM-SE. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required for full functionality.
How many cameras can the UDM-SE power directly?
Up to 8 cameras via the built-in PoE ports, subject to the 180W total PoE budget. It can manage up to (8) 4K, (14) 2K, or (24) HD UniFi cameras.
What is the difference between the UDM-SE and UDM-Pro?
The UDM-SE adds 8 built-in PoE ports (180W budget), a 128 GB SSD, and a 1.3″ touchscreen. The UDM-Pro has no built-in PoE and suits pure routing deployments with a separate managed switch.
What hard drive do I need for UniFi Protect?
Any compatible 3.5″ SATA HDD. Ubiquiti recommends surveillance-grade drives (e.g. WD Purple or Seagate SkyHawk) for 24/7 recording reliability. The drive is not included.
Does it support dual-WAN failover?
Yes. The UDM-SE supports dual-WAN failover and load balancing across the 2.5 GbE RJ45 WAN and 10G SFP+ WAN ports, plus UniFi LTE backup.
Is the UDM-SE NDAA compliant?
Yes. Ubiquiti is a US-based manufacturer and the UDM-SE is NDAA Section 889 compliant — suitable for government and security-sensitive sites.
