What is the TRB500 used for?It's an industrial 5G gateway that adds ultra-fast, low-latency cellular connectivity to a single wired device or network segment via Gigabit Ethernet — ideal for CCTV backhaul, SCADA, remote sites and high-speed WAN failover.
Does the TRB500 support both SA and NSA 5G?Yes. It works on both Standalone and Non-Standalone 5G Sub-6 GHz networks with 4×4 MIMO, so it stays compatible as carriers evolve their infrastructure.
What happens if 5G coverage drops out?The gateway automatically falls back to 4G LTE Cat 20 (and 3G), keeping the connection live without manual intervention.
How fast is the Ethernet port?One RJ45 port at 10/100/1000 Mbps (Gigabit) with auto MDI/MDIX, configurable as LAN or WAN — enough to pass through multi-gigabit 5G throughput.
Does the TRB500 have Wi-Fi?No. The TRB500 is a single-port Ethernet 5G gateway with no Wi-Fi. If you need wireless LAN, consider a Teltonika RUTX or RUTM-series 5G router instead.
What SIM does it take?One Mini SIM (2FF) slot. The Australia/Oceania version supports the 5G NR and LTE bands used by Telstra, Optus and TPG/Vodafone.
Does it support industrial protocols?Yes. RutOS provides Modbus TCP, DNP3, OPC UA and DLMS/COSEM, plus MQTT and SNMP, for utilities, energy and automation deployments.
Can I manage it remotely?Yes. The TRB500 is fully compatible with Teltonika RMS for secure remote configuration, diagnostics and bulk firmware updates across your entire fleet.
What warranty applies in Australia?The TRB500 carries a 2-year (24-month) warranty, backed by local Australian support.
