Dual-sensor coverage
One camera captures both a wide 8 MP overview and a 2 MP magnified close-up, reducing the number of devices needed to monitor large scenes such as car parks, perimeters and entrances.
Lightfinder 2.0 & Forensic WDR
Lightfinder 2.0 preserves natural colour in extreme low light, while Forensic WDR up to 120 dB keeps detail visible across bright and shadowed areas of the same frame.
OptimizedIR to 50 m
Built-in 850 nm OptimizedIR LEDs deliver clear footage in total darkness up to 50 m or more, with illumination that adapts automatically to the zoom level.
Built to endure
An IP66/IP67- and NEMA 4X-rated casing with IK10 vandal resistance withstands sustained winds up to 60 m/s and operates from -40 °C to 60 °C.
What makes the P1518-LE a dual-sensor camera? It combines an 8 MP / 4K wide-angle sensor for the full scene with a separate 2 MP tele sensor for magnified close-up detail, giving two simultaneous views from one device.
What is the maximum resolution? The wide sensor records 8 MP at 3840 × 2160 (4K Ultra HD); the tele sensor records 2 MP at 1920 × 1080.
How far does the night vision reach?Built-in OptimizedIR with 850 nm LEDs provides clear footage in total darkness up to 50 m or more depending on the scene.
Does it have on-board AI?Yes. The ARTPEC-8 deep learning processing unit (DLPU) runs AXIS Object Analytics and AXIS Scene Metadata on the edge to classify humans and vehicles.
What lenses does it use?The wide sensor uses a 5.9–13.8 mm F1.5–2.9 varifocal lens; the tele sensor uses a 10.9–29 mm F1.7 varifocal lens. Both offer remote zoom, focus and P-iris.
How is it powered?Via Power over Ethernet, IEEE 802.3af/802.3at Type 1 Class 4, drawing about 13.2 W typically and 25.5 W maximum.
Is it suitable for harsh outdoor environments?Yes. It is IP66/IP67- and NEMA 4X-rated, IK10 vandal resistant, withstands winds up to 60 m/s and operates from -40 °C to 60 °C.
Is the P1518-LE NDAA compliant?Yes. As an Axis camera it is NDAA 889 and TAA compliant, suitable for government and critical-infrastructure projects.
Which ONVIF profiles are supported? It supports ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T for interoperability with third-party VMS and recorders.
