- The 3-pack includes an additional Deco E4 unit, extending coverage from approximately 260m² (2-pack) to approximately 370m². The 3-pack is better suited to larger homes, multi-storey properties, or homes with challenging layouts. Both packs use the same Deco E4 hardware and can be expanded further by adding more units.
- Does the Deco E4 work with Australian NBN connections?
- Yes. The Deco E4 supports PPPoE, Dynamic IP, Static IP, L2TP, and PPTP WAN connection types, covering all common NBN connection methods. Connect the primary Deco unit to your NBN modem or gateway via Ethernet.
- Do all three Deco units need to be connected via Ethernet?
- No. Only the primary Deco unit connects to your modem via Ethernet. The remaining units communicate wirelessly with the primary unit and only need a power outlet. For best performance, Ethernet backhaul between units is recommended where possible.
- Can I mix Deco E4 units with other Deco models?
- Yes. The Deco system supports mixing compatible Deco models on the same network. You can add higher-end Deco units (such as Wi-Fi 6 models) to your existing Deco E4 network via the Deco app to boost performance in specific areas.
