Six Configurable Gigabit Interfaces
Five Gigabit RJ45 ports plus one 1G SFP fibre port — all six configurable for switching, so you can route, switch, and add fibre uplinks from a single compact unit.
Fibre-Ready SFP Backhaul
The 1G SFP port provides fibre connectivity to support backhaul applications for carrier-class and ISP edge networks where copper distances fall short.
24V Passive PoE In & Out
Powered by 24V passive PoE or its included adapter, the ER-X-SFP can also pass 24V passive PoE out — up to 12W per port and 50W total — to power compatible Ubiquiti devices over the same Ethernet run.
Centralised UNMS / EdgeMAX Management
Managed by UNMS (Ubiquiti Network Management System), a single control plane manages registered EdgeMAX devices across multiple sites through an intuitive UI.
Compact, Fanless & Wall-Mountable
At just 142 x 75 x 23 mm and 215 g, the silent, fanless chassis tucks into cabinets, comms cupboards, or onto a wall with the built-in mount.
NDAA Compliant
Fully NDAA compliant for government, defence, and security-sensitive installations where supply-chain integrity is a requirement.
What's the difference between the EdgeRouter X and the X SFP?
The ER-X-SFP adds a 1G SFP fibre port for backhaul connectivity on top of the five Gigabit RJ45 ports, making it ideal for fibre uplinks and ISP edge deployments.
Does the ER-X-SFP support PoE?
Yes. It accepts 24V passive PoE input and can pass 24V passive PoE out — up to 12W per port and 50W total — to power compatible Ubiquiti devices.
Is a power adapter included?
Yes. A 24V DC, 2.5A external AC/DC power adapter is included in the box.
How is the EdgeRouter X SFP managed?
It runs EdgeOS locally and can be centrally managed through UNMS (Ubiquiti Network Management System) across multiple sites.
Is the ER-X-SFP NDAA compliant?
Yes. Ubiquiti is a US-based manufacturer and the ER-X-SFP is NDAA compliant — suitable for government and security-sensitive sites.
