Does this camera work with my existing DVR?Yes — the HAC-HDW2501TMQP-A is switchable between HDCVI, AHD, TVI, and CVBS modes, making it compatible with virtually all modern DVRs and XVRs. For 5MP 16:9 output, your Dahua XVR must be on firmware V4.001.0000001.0.R.200908 or later.
Can I use this camera outdoors?Yes — IP67 rated, suitable for outdoor installation in all Australian weather conditions including rain, dust, and coastal environments.
Does it need PoE?No — this is an HDCVI analogue camera powered by DC 12V. A separate power cable is required alongside the coaxial video cable. It does not support PoE.
How far can the IR reach?Up to 60 metres with Smart IR, which automatically adjusts intensity to prevent overexposure at close range.
Does the built-in mic work with all DVRs?Audio over coaxial requires a compatible XVR/DVR with audio input support. Most Dahua Penta-brid XVRs support this. Check your recorder's specifications or contact our team.
