Everything in One Device — No Extra Hardware
The UDM combines a security gateway, UniFi Network controller, dual-band WiFi 5 AP, and 4-port Gigabit switch in a single desktop unit — no separate Cloud Key, controller server, or PoE switch required to get started.
Built-in UniFi Network Controller
The UDM runs the UniFi Network application natively — manage your entire UniFi network (switches, APs, cameras) from the UniFi app or web UI without a separate controller device.
Dual-Band WiFi 5 Access Point
Integrated dual-band WiFi 5 (802.11ac) access point provides reliable wireless coverage for homes and small offices — no separate AP required for most single-floor deployments.
4-Port Gigabit Switch
Four built-in Gigabit LAN ports connect wired devices directly — computers, smart TVs, NAS drives, and IP cameras — without a separate switch for small deployments.
Advanced Security — IDS/IPS, Content Filtering & DPI
Enterprise-grade security features including internet threat management (IDS/IPS), content filtering, deep packet inspection (DPI), and application identification — protecting your network without complex configuration.
UniFi Site Manager — Remote Access
Connects to UniFi Site Manager at unifi.ui.com for free remote management — monitor and manage your network from anywhere without VPN or port forwarding.
Expandable — Add UniFi APs, Switches & Cameras
Start with the UDM and expand your network by adding UniFi Access Points, switches, and cameras — all managed from the same UniFi controller built into the UDM.
No Subscription Required
UniFi Network runs fully locally on the UDM — no monthly fees, no cloud subscription required. Remote access via UniFi Site Manager is free with a UniFi account.

ℹ️ Note
The UDM does not include UniFi Protect NVR functionality. For camera recording, pair with a Cloud Key+ or UCG-Fiber with NVMe SSD.
Does the UDM require a subscription?
No. UniFi Network runs fully locally on the UDM. Remote access via UniFi Site Manager is free with a UniFi account — no monthly fees required.
Can I add more UniFi APs to the UDM?
Yes. The UDM’s built-in controller manages additional UniFi Access Points, switches, and other UniFi devices — simply adopt them in the UniFi app.
Does the UDM support UniFi Protect cameras?
The UDM itself does not run UniFi Protect. For camera recording, pair it with a Cloud Key+ (UCK-G2-SSD) or a UCG-Fiber with NVMe SSD as a separate NVR device.
What is the difference between the UDM and UDM-Pro?
The UDM is a compact desktop device with WiFi 5, 4-port Gigabit switch, and Gigabit WAN — ideal for homes and small offices. The UDM-Pro is a 1U rack-mount device with 10G SFP+, HDD NVR bay, and higher IDS/IPS throughput for larger deployments.
Can I manage the UDM remotely?
Yes. The UDM connects to UniFi Site Manager at unifi.ui.com for free remote management — no VPN or port forwarding required.
Does it have PoE ports?
No. The UDM’s 4 Gigabit LAN ports are standard (non-PoE). To power UniFi APs or cameras via PoE, add a UniFi PoE switch or PoE injector.
